The world famous Harlem Gospel Choir is one of the pre-eminent gospel choirs in the world. It travels the globe, sharing its joy of faith through its music, & raising funds for children's charities. The Choir was founded in 1986 by Allen Bailey, who got the idea for the Choir while attending a celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the renowned Cotton Club in Harlem. The Choir presents the finest singers and musicians from Harlem's Black Churches. The Harlem Gospel Choir has shared its message of love, peace and harmony with thousands of people from various nations, backgrounds, and cultures. The Choir strives to make the world a more loving and peaceful place, and through its music and dynamic performances creates a better understanding of the African-American culture and the inspirational music called Gospel as it relates to the Black Church. The theme of every performance is bringing people & nations together & giving something back. The Choir's songs of gospel and inspiration will touch the depths of your soul and raise your spirits to angelic heights |

The United States Naval Academy MEN'S GLEE CLUB is the most active of the Naval Academy's musical organizations and has achieved national prominence as one of America's premier men's choral ensembles. Recent appearances on network television include The Kennedy Center Honors (CBS), The Today Show (NBC), The Early Show (CBS), Christmas in Washington (NBC and TNT) and Good Morning, America (ABC). The Men's Glee Club performs masterpieces of the choral-orchestral literature annually with the Naval Academy Women's Glee Club and the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. In addition to the annually sold-out concerts of Handel's Messiah, which is also broadcast annually throughout this country and abroad, recent repertoire has included Orff's Carmina Burana, Requiems by Brahms, Mozart and Verdi, Haydn's Creation, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, and Ralph Vaughan-Williams' A Sea Symphony among many others. In the past decade alone, the Men's Glee Club has performed extensively throughout the United States and abroad including four European Tours with performances at St. Peters in the Vatican, cathedrals in Brussels, Wells, Winchester, Salisbury, and St. Paul's in London. Recent appearances include a performance with the Boston Pops Orchestra, concerts in San Diego's Copley Symphony Hall, New York's Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, and Washington's Kennedy Center. Presenting evenings of fine music and entertainment, the Men's Glee Club, under the direction of Dr. Aaron Smith, represents the United States Navy and the Naval Academy with pride and distinction in the world' s great cathedrals and concert halls. |

By popular demand, this concert will feature the very talented voices of the Cathedral Pontifical Chorale under the direction of Lee Gwozdz. Highlights of this concert will include members of the Chorale who are exploring endeavors into the Opera world. Attendees will experience music from all periods accompanied by the Cathedral Festival Orchestra. Past Festival concerts have been treating coastal Bend music lovers to standing-room only performances in the resounding space of Corpus Christi Cathedral. Truly a concert not to be missed! |
