Founded in 1988, The Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet opens the season. The first classical wind quintet established on a permanent basis. Van Cliburn Gold Medalist, Jon Nakamatsu, will perform with this world class ensemble. A concert that will dazzle the cathedral audience.

Our Pomps & Pipes Jubilee Spectacular will feature The Millennia Consort, California's premiere organ plus ensemble, founded in 1998, combining the talents of Alison J. Luedecke, organ, with the San Diego Chamber Brass Quintet. Attendees will be engulfed with "LIVE" surround sound with the grand Cathedral Pipe Organ and kettle drums from the rear, the brass heralding from the left, right, and front of the resounding space of Corpus Christi Cathedral.

The St Olaf Choir, is a widely acclaimed ensemble and longtime creative influence behind the a cappella choral tradition. Founded in 1912, the seventy-five voice choir is the premier choral ensemble of St Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. The Choir has toured extensively since 1920, singing to capacity houses and garnering immense audience and critical acclaim. Join us for this apropos performance in Corpus Christi Cathedral.

This NO CHARGE CONCERT will attract the large contingent of local guitar students, especially those enrolled in the Corpus Christi Independent School District program.

The finale of the 2000-2001 season features the choirs of Corpus Christi Cathedral and the Symphony Orchestra, with Helen Donath as the guest artist, celebrating local talent, as well as local talent that has gone on to International fame. The first half of the concert Helen and Klaus Donath will perform their favorites-from Opera to Pops. The second half of the concert will have Helen performing as Soprano Soloist in quartet with the Cathedral Choirs Mozart's SOLEMN VESPERS, accompanied by members from the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Lee Gwozdz and Greg Labus.
